Finally, I’ve conquered my common sense vein and decided to jump into the 21st Century of blogging.  Some might think this is an easy transition for a writer.  After all, most of us have long since shelved the trusty typewriter in exchange for a computer.  We are in tune with the web, with the world.  Words are our business.  Taking on the commitment to write one’s own blog, however, can be difficult.  We write for a living.  This is not an escape from our day job.  It is one more assignment.

That said, I must admit the thought have having a new weekly deadline has injected my subconscious with renewed energy.  Instead of wallowing in my current work, I suddenly have a new project to contemplate.  A good reason to defer one worry for another.   And, in truth, I work best under pressure.  So, I jump….with high hopes of landing on my feet and not on my face.
